30mb would be pretty high, yeah - what is it that you're trying to post?
tools like handbrake can make it pretty easy to compress audio or videos that are too large

gah, sorry to leave you hanging there! I actually did mess around with it later that day (think I was running into some weird issue since the handling for .ogg is already deceptively complex) and never quite finished the job. I didn't know it when I wrote my original reply, but if my understanding is correct, .opus is really just a filename-level distinction - it's just an .ogg file, and so if you rename it to .ogg, it should upload fine, I believe. that said, even though the extension hasn't taken off, it is the officially preferred extension for .ogg files containing only an opus stream, so we should support it. I'll try and make time to fix it soon, but until then, you could try changing the extention and uploading it, if that's acceptable!
