you should have staff record shortened urls used for cp spam and contact you with their domains somewhere so they can be added to filters to help cut back on future spam (although these freaks are typically doing it manually and prodding for ways around filters so it's not foolproof). if you already have some sort of communication going in regards to that, forgive me.

thanks for this suggestion - you reminded me of a more advanced technique that vichan had implemented, but which jschan lacks. I might try implementing it sometime, but I worry it could interfere with the other trick we use to combat this type of spam, and paradoxically result in more spam. forgive me for being vague, as this partially relies on obscurity to work (^^;)
